A Note on Losing and Rekindling Creativity

There are seasons when creativity feels easy, like breathing. And then there are seasons when it feels distant, almost unreachable.

Most people think losing creativity happens in a single moment. But more often, it slips away quietly, worn down by busy schedules, unmet expectations, or the slow erosion of wonder.

I’ve learned it doesn’t leave all at once. It fades.

It fades when we trade curiosity for certainty.
It withers when we measure too much and dream too little.
It pulls away when fear steps in front of exploring.

Ahh, but my friends, the beautiful thing is that creativity ALWAYS waits.

It hums quietly underneath the noise, patient and persistent.

Sometimes all it takes is a small risk.
A curious glance at a blank page.
A question we dare to follow without knowing the answer.

Today, I’m reminding myself:
Creativity isn’t something we lose forever.
It’s something we remember how to return to.

QUESTION:
What small act of wonder could you say yes to today?
And what might come alive again if you let it?
